How it started
The Story Behind Agapanthus
From the age of 12, Bence, the founder of Agapanthus Landscaping Services, had an affinity with gardening. From his early years in his family’s nursery and cutflower farm in Hungary, he knew he wanted to create gardens. After studying at Hungary’s most respected horticultural college, Bence made what was supposed to be a temporary visit to England, where he fell in love with the English country garden. After working on a range of exciting projects in the area including the famous Hauser and Wirth art gallery garden, Bence set up Agapanthus Landscaping, and has since grown the team.
Working Together
Taking a collaborative approach is key to creating a dream garden. Whether it’s a new garden from plan, or uncovering a hidden gem buried amongst the weeds, we work closely with our clients and alongside selected landscape architects. To ensure the best service for each client, we only work on a limited number of gardens each year. This ensures the best result for the garden too as it really enables us to get to know a garden and to cultivate it to the best it can be. Throughout each project, or with regular maintenance, we keep in regular contact with clients either in-person, or via video when a client is out-of-area. A garden is always a work in progress, and by working closely, we get to understand the garden and the client to ensure the garden is the haven that it should be!
